Euro Paper Talk: Real Madrid told eye-watering Salah fee; Coutinho claims Liverpool have two deals lined up

Liverpool have told Real Madrid the massive fee they want for Mohamed Salah, while Philippe Coutinho believes the Reds have two big names lined up to replace him, according to Monday’s European papers.

LIVERPOOL DEMAND MASSIVE FEE FOR SALAH

Liverpool have responded to claims of Real Madrid interest in Mohamed Salah by slapping a massive fee on the Egyptian sensation, according to reports in Spain.

The former Roma star has netted 32 times already this season leading to claims he is on Real Madrid’s summer shopping list as they look to remodel their attack.

Spanish outlet El Confidencial claim Real have made enquiries for the player and have been informed through an intermediary how much Salah will cost them.

And Liverpool won’t let the player leave on the cheap, reportedly telling the Spanish giants they want £160m (€180m) for the winger to leave Anfield.

Salah is seen as the ideal replacement for Gareth Bale, who is expected to leave the Bernabeu this summer and has, ironically, been linked with a move to Merseyside.

ENRIQUE GETS CHELSEA JOB

Luis Enrique has revealed that his move to replace Antonio Conte at Chelsea is “practically” done, according to Don Balon.

The former Barcelona boss is said to have spoken to former player Neymar about the possibility of taking the Paris Saint-Germain job, but a move to Chelsea looks more likely according to the report.

The Mail on Sunday claimed in January that Conte will quit the club at the end of the season after growing disgruntled with the Blues’ transfer frustrations this season.

That apparently saw Chelsea begin to plan for life without the Italian, and they are believed to have looked at Massimiliano Allegri and Diego Simeone as potential replacements.

However. Enrique’s availability is reported to have swayed Chelsea and pushed him to the top of their wishlist.

Enrique won La Liga twice as well as the Champions League in three seasons with Barcelona.

JUVENTUS TO AGREE DARMIAN SWEETENER AS PART OF ALEX SANDRO SWITCH

Manchester United have persuaded Juventus to allow them to sign Alex Sandro this summer, according to reports in the Italian media.

The €60million-rated star was chased by Chelsea last summer and again in January, but the Brazilian decided to stay in Serie A until the summer of 2018.

And according to Il Bianconero, United look to have won the race to sign the former Porto star, with Juventus agreeing to the deal with Matteo Darmian allowed to move in the opposite direction as his replacement.

The signing of Sandro would represent quite the coup for Jose Mourinho, whose side are expected to pay Juventus €40m plus Darmian to seal the deal.

PSG are also keen on Sandro, but if the latest report is to be believed, the Brazilian looks set to move to Old Trafford and provide Mourinho with the long-term answer at left-back he is looking for.

Ashley Young impressed at left-back against Liverpool on Saturday, but with the player 33 this summer, he cannot go on forever.

The signing of Sandro would also cast doubt over Luke Shaw, with the player seemingly back in Mourinho’s good books but perhaps not the long-term solution he is looking for.
