Euro Paper Talk: £53m Inter star discusses Man Utd, City links; mass exodus at Real

An Inter Milan star has discussed speculation linking him with a Premier League move, while five players could be shown the door at Real Madrid, according to Friday’s European papers.

MILAN HAPPY IN MILAN

Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar has played down speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona and Manchester City.

The Slovakia international has been in fine form for the Nerazzurri this season having moved from Sampdoria last summer.

Skriniar claimed last month that a £53million offer was rejected by Inter Milan in January, with Manchester United also linked to him.

As a result, he is said to be attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, but the 23-year-old has insisted he is happy at Inter.

“I am happy to be at Inter,” Skrniar revealed, before discussing Inter’s upcoming fixture against his former club.

“We’ll have to do our best against Sampdoria. It’s going to be a special match for me because they are my former team. We are Inter and we need to win to qualify for the Champions League. That’s our target.

“Overall, I think we must do more. The Napoli game was a positive one, it wasn’t easy to create them troubles but there were a few good counter attacks which could lead us to score. Spalletti has been very hard of late but that’s how he motivates us.”

REAL QUINTET HEADING FOR SUMMER EXITS

The main five players expected to leave Real Madrid this summer have been revealed in a report on Diario Gol.

Gareth Bale, Isco, Marco Asensio, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are the men in question, with the report stating that Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have already been in contact over Bale, Isco and Asensio.

The sales of the quintet are expected to fund a huge revamp of the first-team squad at Real after their dismal La Liga title defence this season.

Club president Florentino Perez is said to ran out of patience with Bale, due to the Welshman’s constant injury issues, while Modric and Kroos have not performed to anywhere near the level they did last term.

Isco and Asensio are two players the La Liga giants would prefer to keep but the report goes on to state that they will be allowed to leave if the right offers come in.
